Ceramic pads are quiet, low-dust and gentle on rotors — ideal for daily driving. Semi-metallic pads have higher friction and better heat transfer, making them the pick for track days and heavy towing, at the cost of more dust and rotor wear. A good compromise: ceramic pads with a performance compound, like our HyperGrip, which holds up to light track use without the squeal.
